Less than 2 years old, Trademark Collection by Wyndham is growing rapidly and now includes more than 100 hotels. More than a dozen hotels and resorts across Canada recently signed on with the brand, putting it over the 100 properties mark. Five of these properties are in British Columbia and Ontario while seven are opening in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, expanding the brand’s footprint across the nation.

Trademark Collection has properties across North America and in Europe. Launched in 2017, it is a soft-brand aimed at 3- and 4-star hoteliers who want to create distinctive yet attainable accommodations in popular destination areas.

The recent additions bring the brand to some of the most coveted travel locales in Canada, adding charming, character-filled and individually styled hotels to these busy areas where sameness is often the trend with other chains and brands.

Among the new properties is Georgian Bay Hotel & Conference Centre, featuring 94 rooms with easy access to many wineries, galleries and boutiques in Collingwood, just 90 minutes to the north of Toronto Pearson International Airport. Another example, The Plaza Hotel, is in Kamloops, BC and is a rebranding of a 67-room property built in 1928.
Wyndham’s deal to expand the Trandmark brand includes an agreement with Advanced Lodging, Inc., for three high-rated hotels in Eastern Canada opening at the end of 2018 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Moncton, New Brunswick and Saint John, New Brunswick. Each is located in a key travel destination.
